On Sunday, January 26, 2003, James Malcolm Williams, passed away suddenly at his residence following a lengthy illness. He was 61 years old.

Jim was born in Melbourne, Florida on February 6, 1941. He was recently retired from his position as a management analyst for CCAD, where he was employed for over 25 years. He was also a proud member of the adjunct faculty at Del Mar College, where he taught various psychology courses for more than 20 years. As a Licensed Psychological Associate, he performed psychological testing on hundreds of patients for local psychologists as well as for potential employees in private industry. He also served as a consultant to several South Texas attorneys. Jim attended the University of Florida and Texas A&M (Kingsville) before receiving his Masters degree in Clinical Psychology from Texas Tech University in 1976. He also received his C.P.I.M. Certification for Production and Inventory Management in 1997. His lifelong interests included WWII history, the Rocky Mountains, aviation and writing. He was a loyal fan of the St.Louis Cardinals, the University of Florida Gators and all forms of jazz music.

He is preceded in death by his father, Capt. H. P. Williams of Richardson, Texas and his sister, Ann (Jim) Wilson of Austin, Texas.

Jim is survived by his wife of 25 years, Linda (Martin) Williams, and one son, Garrett Williams, both of Corpus Christi, Texas; his mother Maurine Williams of Conway, Arkansas; three brothers, Carroll (Mary Lee) and Robert Williams of Conway, Arkansas and John Williams of Austin, Texas. Also surviving Jim are 14 beloved nieces and nephews and a host of cousins throughout the country.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2003 at Seaside Chapel.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Jim's name to Crime Stoppers, the U.S.S. Lexington memorial or to another favorite charity.
