What a show on ice and snow,
the world's best at Nagano.

Claudia and Gunda under seven,
silver and gold, speed skater's heaven.

Hermann Maier flipped high in the air,
shed his skis he lost the pair.

Not wounded he, proved he was bold
got right up and captured gold.

Lutz and loop and camel spin,
with Tara Lipinski's infectious grin.

Moguls and skis,
and bouncing knees.

Terrific show at Nagano,
the world's best on ice,
on snow.

Written while I watched the 1998 Winter Olympics
broadcast from Nagano, Japan.
