Homes in the Bahamas
were totally destroyed
by the terrible winds
of Hurricane Floyd.
From Carolina to Jersey
New York and Maine
rising flood waters
brought terrible pain.
Destroyed their homes
and people's dreams,
with muddy waters
from swollen streams.
While in Florida
we were mostly annoyed
fleeing the coast
and the threat of Hurricane Floyd.
