Submission Requirements

Conway Pages seeks to showcase the works of writers young and old, amateur or professional.   Quality of writing will determine those works accepted for publication.  Please read this entire page.  In order to be considered for publication you must fill out and submit the form at the bottom of this page signifying that you have read and agree with the terms and conditions for publication. 

Eligibility:  New writers and previously-published writers are equally welcome.   Short stories and feature articles should not exceed three thousand words.  Feature articles should be about real people places or experiences.  Poetry should touch the senses and make sense.   We do not publish horror stories, pornographic works, gratuitous violence, or any submission we deem offensive or inflammatory.   This is a subjective judgment.  The editor will make the final determination as to the suitability of any item.   We believe in your freedom to publish your work and it is not our role to impose censorship.   Writers of all genres have many venues in which to publish.  Our editorial policy is to select articles, stories, and poems which we find enjoyable and to give them space in Conway Pages.   There are no reading fees or other fees required for publication.

Format:  Submissions must be sent in ONE of the following file formats:

1.  Plain Text contained within an Email  (copied and pasted into an Email message to the editor)
2.  Plain Text file attached to an Email  (plain text can be written using a Windows Note Pad or Word Pad)
3.  Microsoft Word document attached to an Email
4.  Microsoft Works file attached to an Email

Reader's Feedback to Authors:   If your work is accepted for publication you may request that your Email address be linked in your story or poem so that readers may send their responses directly to you.  This is a free service.  The editor does not have the time to relay reader's comments to each author.   As an alternative, you may wish to have a private feedback web page from which a reader can send comments to you without knowing your Email address.  One feedback web page is all that is needed for an entire collection of an author's  works published in Conway Pages.   This premium service is available for a one-time fee of $15.  Click to view a Sample Feedback Page  If you elect to use this premium service you will be invoiced via your Email address and may pay using a major credit card through the invoice link provided in the Email.

Notification of Acceptance:  If your work is accepted for publication, the editor will notify you via your Email address.   All communication with Conway Pages will be by Email.

Payment: Conway Pages does not pay for items selected for publication.  Your reward will be the pleasure of seeing your work published for everyone in the world to read and enjoy.

Property Rights:  Works submitted for consideration must be the writer's own work.  Works published in Conway Pages remain the property of the author who is free to publish them elsewhere at any time.   By making a submission for publication to Conway Pages the person making the submission represents that they are the author of the work submitted and that they have the right to publish the material in this or any other venue.
